Blended Green Food - Health Benefits

Blended green food/drink has been referred to as a perfect food. When using the correct blend
of raw, organic green or sea vegetables, one is delivering nutritional properties that are in harmony
with the precise nutritional needs of the human body. All life is a miracle of nature.
Both plants and animal life support each others life in ways that aren't totally
understood yet. Most
plants possess the ability to create a unique combination of essential nutritional elements from
sunlight, air, water and soil. Many green leafy vegetables possess this prefect nutritional
balance to satisfy our body’s optimal health, cleansing, healing and repair requirements. The compound
that is most responsible for this is chlorophyll. Chlorophyll based foods (plants & alga’s) are
natures miracle gift to those who strive for perfect health and vitality.
Chlorophyll is responsible for not only the most important chemical reactions on earth,
photosynthesis but for life evolution itself. Life itself (plant or animal) would not be
possible without photosynthesis. Chlorophyll is not only responsible for
converting light energy into chemical energy but the master chemical at the base of all our
food supply and oxygen production. Chlorophyll, often referred to as “the blood of plants”,
with its chemical matrix nearly identical to hemoglobin, the pigment of red blood cells is
responsible for oxygen transport in most animals. The main difference between the two molecules,
chlorophyll & hemoglobin, is the metallic element in the center or nucleus. Hemoglobin has an
iron center while chlorophyll contains magnesium center. Chlorophyll is a remarkably protective and

and vegetables but keeping in mine that the greener, rawer, and more organic the
imprudence the better the

The blend should be 50% fruit, 30-40% vegetables, and 10-20% fresh squeezed

PRODUCE WHENEVER POSSIBLE) Remember to thoroughly clean the produce before you blend to help
limit unknown chemical agent ingestion. A variety of different fruits and
vegetables may be used listed below;
PRIMARY; Banana, Apples, Mangos, all Melons
SECONDARY (fresh raw frozen is OK); Pineapple, Pares, Peaches, Grapes, Grapefruit,
all Berries, Kiwi, Figs, Dates, Apricots, Plumbs
Any fresh fruits are eligible so use a variety of favorite fruits to keep the blending habit
going. Mix in fruit color variations.
30-40% Green Leaf Vegetables;
PRIMARY; Spinach (beginner blenders)
Kale, Chards, Turnip or Mustard greens, Lambs Quarter (advanced blenders)
SECONDARY; Celery, Cucumbers, Beats & greens, All Squashes,
Parsley, Cilantro, Mint, Lettuce (except iceberg), Ginger root, Garlic
10-20% Fresh juice (squeezed or juiced), unprocessed juice or distilled
PRIMARY CITRUS; Lemon, Lime (can juice with skin)
When fresh fruit juice is not practical, substitute distilled water.
SECONDARY; Carrot (juiced), Orange (only squeeze, don't juice orange skins)
GREEN SMOOTHIE RECIPES
It’s important to remember that all ingredients should be fresh, ripe, raw
and organic whenever possible. As long as you stick close to a blend of 50% fruit, 40% green leafy
vegetables and 10% fresh squeezed juice or distilled water you will be creating a green smoothie.
Choose your favorite fruits, vegetables and juices to create your own blends and favorite green
smoothies. Keep in mind that the more green leafy vegetables in your smoothies the healthier
more nutritious they will be.
My Own Green Power Blend = Bananas, Spinach and/or Kale, Mango, Watermelon
and/or Cantaloupe, Flaxseed, Spirulina and/or Chlorella,
Lemon juice, Mint, Garlic and Ginger Root
- More fruit for sweeter taste
- More green, lemon, garlic, and ginger root for more nutrition and internal cleansing
- Experiment with each fruit and vegetable amount to suit your own taste
Orange - Banana - Chard
Preparation time: 10 minutes
Makes about 8 ounces
Zest of an orange
1 whole seedless, skinless orange, cut in quarters, flesh and sections (yes, pith and all, for fiber)
1 large Swiss chard leaf (with or without ribs sliced away)
Water to thin
1 tablespoon of wheat germ
1 tablespoon of fresh ground dark flaxseed
Blend all ingredients in the blender. Taste and adjust for flavor
Per Serving (using wheat germ): 187 Cal (6% from Fat, 12% from Protein, 84% from Carb);
6g Protein; 1g Tot Fat; 0g Sat Fat; 0g Mono Fat; 44g Carb; 9g Fiber; NetCarb 36;
27g Sugar; 98mg Calcium; 2mg Iron; 62mg Sodium; 0mg Cholesterol;

Orange - Banana - Plum - Lemon - Chard
Preparation time: 10 minutes
Makes about 8 ounces
Zest of an orange
1 whole seedless orange, cut in quarters, peal away orange skin (yes, pith and all,
minus skin for fiber)
1 Italian plum
Juice of a lemon - an important brightener
3 large Swiss chard leaves (ribs sliced away)
Blend all ingredients in the blender. Taste and adjust for flavor.
Per Serving: 159 Cal (3% from Fat, 7% from Protein, 90% from Carb); 3g Protein; 1g Total Fat;
0g Sat Fat; 0g Mono Fat; 40g Carb; 7g Fiber; 25g Sugar; 89mg Calcium; 1mg Iron;
