Note: The gallbladder has been referred to as the trash can for the liver. This reference can help us understand why an overloaded gallbladder can cause so many health problems. The gallbladder excretes bile which is an emulsifying agent that assist in the digestion of fats.

The gallbladder holds metals, chemicals and the many other waste products filtered from the blood by the liver. The largest supply of waste material in the gallbladder is cholesterol. Cholesterol serves the internal healing process on internal arterial wall as a type of patching material. These lesions were formed as a results of excessive stress (high blood pressure) and the loss of tissue integrity due to a deficiency of essential food sources like vitamin C and E in the bloodstream.


Over time, excess cholesterol forms on the internal arterial wall. This cholesterol plaque formation begins to flake away from the arterial wall. These pieces of arterial plaque flow through the bloodstream until they are filtered out by the liver and stored in the gallbladder. Then the gallbladder transfers this arterial plaque into the intestinal tract for elimination. As this transfer occurs, sticky, waxy residue forms and is retained in the gallbladder. As the gallbladder fills with this cholesterol plaque, the elimination flow from the liver is reduced and/or blocked. The flow of elimination from the liver is restricted until this excessive cholesterol is removed from the gallbladder.

This can be done effectively with a gallbladder flush. After performing a gallbladder flush, it is prudent to follow this procedure immediately with a liver cleanse. It may be obvious by now but that the gallbladder and liver function together intimately. Other than gallstone issues these two organs should be cleaned together or in close secession.



Gallbladder Cleansing Foods:
It's important to avoid eating all fatty, highly refined and/or foods with artificial additives during a gallbladder cleanse or detoxification.


During the cleanse use alkalizing foods, in a ratio of at least 4:1 over acid-forming foods. Below are foods to eat and not eat for gallbladder health.

  • Foods Helps Clean The Gallbladder;
  • Fruits
  • Vegetables
  • Unrefined Grains
  • Legumes
  • Artichoke

  • Foods That Help Gallstone Removal;
  • Pears
  • Parsnips
  • Sea Vegetables
  • Limes
  • Lemons
  • Spice Turmeric
  • Radishes
  • Cleavers tea
  • Chamomile tea


  • Gallbladder Flush/Cleanse:
    Main Ingredients (makes 1 qt. or 1 liter); (All ingredients should be organic if possible)
    1. Distilled Water (steamed only) (24 oz. or ¾ qt./liter)
    2. Olive Oil (organic virgin cold-pressed only) (5-15 tbs., start with 5 and increase) (stimulates gallbladder & bile duct to contract powerfully and expelling solid particles kept in storage for years)
    3. Freshly squeezed juice from; Grapefruit (3-4 large, pink tastes best), 4-6 Lemons/Lime, 4-6 Apple or Orange juices
    4. EPSOM Salts = Magnesium Sulphate (2-3 tbs.) (strong laxative, may cause diarrhea-like symptoms) (relaxing smooth intestinal tract muscles and bile ducts)
    Supercharge;
    5. Garlic Clove (blended or juiced) (5-15 cloves, start with 5 and increase)
    6. Ginger Root (blended or juiced) (about 3-4" long)
    7. Cayenne Pepper (powder or tincture, starts mild and increase to as hot as you can one stand)

    Additional supplement benefits;
    1. L-Ornithine (non-protein amino acid, help sleep)
    2. Cramp Bark (nerve sedative, treats high blood pressure and circulatory conditions
    3. Fennel Seed (open obstructions of the liver, gall bladder and spleen)
    4. Catnip Herb (nourishes the stomach and nerves)
    5. Peppermint Leaf (dissolve gallstones, muscle relaxant and reduces inflammation)

    Equipment;
    1. Quart Jar (glass) with rubber seal lid (Mason is excellent)
    2. Blender (2-3 HP Electric is best)
    3. Juicer (Electric is best)

    Should drink as least 8 oz. of formula each day to start and increase up to 32 oz. (1 qt. or liter) each day for best results.

    Gallbladder Detoxification Program
    The following are prudent steps to a successful gallbladder cleansing program;
    1. Cleanse your gallbladder by drinking ample amounts of distilled water, olive oil, and citrus juice to flush both the liver and the gallbladder which will encourage bile production and flow.
