Why are fresh, raw fruits & vegetables so important to our diet?

Most folks that consume the standard American, meat based diet (SAD), have an internal biochemical pH around 5.5-6.5 which is extremely acid. This very acid pH will eventually lead to many of the illnesses and diseases common in American society today. Internal acidosis (low pH) creates an internal biochemical environment ideal for pathogenic proliferation, illness and disease. Human blood struggles constantly to maintain a pH of 7.365. This is the body’s perfect pH slightly alkaline. If all body fluids remained at this pH the body would remain ultimately healthy. The problem is most all the body’s natural biochemical reactions create excess acid and lower internal pH. In short the body is constantly attempting to adjust natural body chemistry back to 7.365 and ultimate health.

Chocolate - Good or Bad?

Chocolate engenders a great deal of pleasure and is thought to be so good that it is addictive to humans. Many use the term love when they describe their feelings for chocolate. The following is some good solid information related to the health properties of chocolate. The possible health benefits of chocolate stem from the antioxidant flavonoids. Chocolate comes from the cacao plant, and cacao is extraordinarily rich in flavanols, a type of flavonoid phytochemical. Other plants rich in flavanols include tea, grapes, grapefruit, and wine. It’s important to note that some forms of chocolate have much more flavonoids than others.

Prescription drugs have saved many lives. These drugs have a very important role in modern medicine. However there is a landslide of evidence that these drugs are being over used by the medical industry. The overwhelming evidence indicates the main reason for this overuse is money. Yes the reality is, these dangerous drugs are being prescribed, overused and even abused because monstrous profits are generated. Unfortunately the evidence not only reveals that these drugs are causing many serious side effects in those using them but they are killing some folks as well.
