The health benefits of meditation are infinite and like other disciplines, depended largely on the level of mediation skill mastery. Meditation dates back to the 5th-6th century BC when deep thinkers found a connection with the inner self and the nature of things. More resent scientific research has proven that meditation is a safe, relatively simple way to achieve physical, emotional, and mental balance quickly. Yes, the values of meditation have been known and practiced for thousands of years. Currently more health professionals are recommending meditation as a way to positively effect life challenges, even cure illness and disease. The enormous health benefits of meditation are available to anyone who practices and masters this ancient art. Perhaps the best place to start is with simple breathing.

Breathing & Meditations
Learning specific breathing is simple and can form the foundation of the most basic meditation skill. Once this technique is learned, the ability to quickly calm the mind, reduce stress and develop inner peace is within reach. Breathing meditation is the best place to start mastering meditation skills. Have you ever noticed someone, perhaps even yourself taking a deep breathing following a stressful event? We subconsciously know that a deep breath alone is one of the best ways to quickly reduce stress. The next step (meditation) is the art of consciously bring about emotional balance.

Health Benefits of Meditation
The powers of meditation are profound when mastered and frequently used. Since the mind is the master of the body, and body is the physical foundation of life, mastering the mind is the pathway to effectively managing the body and all its complexity. Effective meditation mastery can balance the mind, then begin to manage, even master the body. When inner turbulence (mental & physical) subsides, and the body reaches a state of calm, a deep connection with piece and balance naturally occurs. Difficult problems will become less challenging, we will naturally become warmer, and personal relationships frequently improve. This happens naturally because we have achieved a state of internal calm that allows a more peaceful view of the world and all its challenges. Because the body is dependent on the mind for direction, mastering the mind through meditation is one of the keys to personal excellence and optimal health acquisition. Since personal excellence and optimal health should be everyone's goal, mastering the mind is critical to achieving both.

As proper breathing and meditation becomes more a part of habitual behavior, we begin to realize that it is possible to quickly experience inner peace and harmony just by controlling the mind, without dependence on external conditions.
